Thanks Rich and the listeners who contributed for another interesting podcast.

Lisa

I love your idea and joined the group, thanks. I also study with Paulino thanks to Rich.. What do you think about asking Paulino to monitor, maybe one session a week? It could be good to have someone to watch for errors and with five people in a group; it couldn’t cost more the $4 or $5 each. If you like the idea, I would be happy to make the arrangements with Paulino.

Hello Rich,

Thanks for this wonderful collection of resources for learning spanish.

The main thing with learning a language is motivation. Other websites that are pretty useful are http://spanish.about.com or http://www.studyspanish.com that provide great lessons. And if someone is really serious about learning Spanish, immersion is probably the way to go. An example of great language schools out there includes: http://www.learn-spanish.com.

Stumbled upon your site while looking for resources to help me learn Spanish. I thought I'd post a link to a site that I've found helpful:

http://www.wordreference.com/

It is a dictionary (English->Spanish, Spanish->English, Spanish->Spanish) that also includes links to forum discussions for words that you lookup. So if you want to know when to use Amar vs Querar you can look up one of the words then just jump over to the forum where native speakers discuss usage with other students of the language.

Very useful.

My name is Pili and I’m a Spanish girl. I’m 20 years old and I’m studing Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca. I’d like to be a painter. I like to go to “tapear” (to a Spanish bar, you know) go to some parties, but specially I like to travel around the world. Last year I studied in USA, when I met my friend Lucy. She is studing Spanish there. I write a spoken diary for her and for all of you. You can visit me every week in www.dpili.com and download a free podcast. ¡Learning Spanish is easy with me!

I recommend you to listen the first podcast to understand the diary.

I've been blogging my own process of learning Spanish at:

http://hablo-un-poco.blogspot.com/

I'm currently about half-way through Pimsleur Spanish 3, so much of what's posted there so far is colored by that experience.

Particularly starting in a few weeks, when I move on to something else, the content should reflect greater variety.

Perhaps all this will be of some value to others, although I'm really just doing it in a vaguely self-expressive manner.

Hi everybody,

I’m writing to report about the existence of a new educational resource for learning Spanish as a foreign language (www.audiria.com). It’s a web page totally free for teachers as well as for students. You will find daily a new audio file about very different topics (Spanish culture, grammar, novels, news, radio, daily scenes, El Quijote). Audio files are accompanied by the corresponding texts (also for free) and exercises where you can check your understanding negree.

Greetings, Audiria

Aside from the complex physical connections that make up its infrastructure, the Internet is facilitated by bi- or multi-lateral commercial contracts (e.g., peering agreements), and by technical specifications or protocols that describe how to exchange data over the network. Indeed, the Internet is essentially defined by its interconnections and routing policies.

As of December 30, 2007, 1.319 billion people use the Internet according to Internet World Stats. Writing in the Harvard International Review, philosopher N.J. Slabbert, a writer on policy issues for the Washington, D.C.–based Urban Land Institute, has asserted that the Internet is fast becoming a basic feature of global civilization, so that what has traditionally been called "civil society" is now becoming identical with information technology society as defined by Internet use. - web design company, web designer, web design india
